1. CONTACT

When you contact us, we will perform an initial needs assessment by asking you a series of questions to identify the required specialists and equipment for the project. We can also help point out potential insurance coverages.

2. INSPECTION & DAMAGE ASSESSMENT

We will send a certified specialist to the property to identify signs of mold growth and water damage. They will take measurements and assess the extent of any potential contamination. Once our team has gathered the relevant information, we will create a scope of work that dictates the parameters of the project.

3. OCCUPANT HEALTH

Biocide Remediation has partnered with medical facilities throughout the country. As part of the EASE protocols, at no additional fee, we offer our clients the option to have a physician form a symptoms assessment to identify potential health issues related to environmental exposure. Our team will provide you with a health assessment form to be reviewed by an environmental physician. This can alert you to potential symptom correlations.

4. CONTAINMENT

Remediations start with containment. This will help prevent cross-contamination, which is the spread of a pathogen or hazardous material from one part of an environment to another. Containment protocols may include creating negative or positive air pressure, placement of plastic barriers, and turning off heating and cooling systems.

5. MOLD SPORE SUPPRESSION

Per EASE protocol guidelines, after containment is set, we will apply a fine and ultra-fine particulate suppression treatment to the affected environment. This is done to ensure all fine and ultra-fine particulate matter is brought to cleanable surfaces prior to sanitization.

6. WATER DAMAGE

If needed, water mitigation may be performed to reduce the spread of waterborne pathogens in the environment. Our team will ensure they address water-damaged areas of the structure by drying or containing any moisture-saturated materials. (Note it may be necessary to address any causation of water intrusion prior to starting the remediation process.)

7. AIR FILTRATION

The remediation team will bring in an integrative microbial HEPA air filtration network to ensure potential pathogens are removed from the air during the remediation. Our teams may also implement an industrial-grade HEPA vacuum extraction system, as it relates to the scope of work requirements.

8. CONTAMINATED MATERIAL REMOVAL

Some projects may require the demolition of affected areas in the structure. If demolition is required, our team will contain any contaminated or infested debris. They will then transport any biohazardous materials off-sight for disposal.

9. ANTI-MICROBIAL CLEANING

We will apply an anti-microbial disinfectant to any mold-affected elements of the environment such as walls, ceilings, floors, fixtures, HVAC systems, contents, and mechanical systems. Your scope of work will dictate the volume of anti-microbial applied in each area of the structure.

10. MICROBIAL PREVENTION

As an added benefit of working with Biocide Remediation, we want to help ensure you don’t have any water intrusion problems in the future, so we offer an environmental monitoring service at no additional fee. Our organization has partnered with Biomatrix Systems to provide our clients with the Biomatrix mold monitoring platform. The monitoring service and equipment are free of charge, and they are yours to keep after the remediation is complete.
